Bioceutics: Immunizer Explainer

Brief:

Bioceutics Inc. is a Pharmaceutical company based in Kolathur, Chennai that is known for its leading nutraceutical and pharmaceutical combinations in all therapy areas. When the pandemic struck, Bioceutics came up with a revolutionary product – Immunizer to boost immunity in first line medical workers and the public. Bioceutics wanted MED-bites to come up with a video that explained the method of action of all the ingredients with scientific backing, and 2D medical animation. This video had to be shared on social media platforms and Whatsapp.

Challenge:

Usually sales representatives meet with doctors to present new products using a product monograph or brochure. Due to the lockdown, doctors weren’t seeing any representatives making communication of this new product difficult. The target audience was not only for medical professionals but also the non-medical population, so the video had to be visually appealing but couldn’t lack medical explanation.

Solution

MED-bites content writers went through the product monograph and understood the biochemical and pathophysiological process behind each ingredient. MED-bites content writers worked with the MED-bites creative team to appropriately visualize the biological pathways that needed to be explained so that it can be conveyed to both a medical and non-medical audience. Once the script and storyboard was locked, appropriate vectors were designed by MED-bites illustrators to depict the content that needed to be conveyed.

Take Away:

Unlike many other marketing companies, MED-bites has a team of medical professionals that can understand and visualize heavy medical jargon. As chamber time with doctors have reduced, and the world is moving towards digitalization, MED-bites offers unique solutions for pharmaceutical companies to pitch their new products to doctors and other medical professionals.

Medall: Chennai Reference Lab SOP Posters

Brief:

Medall’s CRL is a 30,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art lab in Guindy, Chennai. Medall came to MED-bites with a requirement of making their SOP posters and mundane protocol look catchy enough for people to read and follow it. Medall felt stock images and medical visuals were overdone and wanted a fresh and fun new way to communicate their message.

Challenge:

The content MED-bites was asked to visualize was mundane lab protocol like washing hands, wearing masks, tying hair, etc. that most employees already knew about but often overlooked. How can you make this content fun and eye-catching? Other content was related to machine maintenance, SOPs of the lab, organizational accreditations, HR announcements, etc. Once again, most of the content was already known to the employees but visuals had to be put in place to reiterate them without looking repetitive.

After getting the content that was necessary to communicate, MED-bites’ creative team visualized each point with a reference to a regional movie without compromising the scientific relevance. In addition, custom posters with photos of employees unveiled the SOP for each machine and other specified content, creating quite a bit of excitement in the organization.

PPPL: SOP Education

Brief:

In a pharmaceutical distribution company like Palepu Pharma Private limited that handles over 21000 active SKUs, it is vital to communicate the SOP to all employees. PPPL wanted MED-bites to create a video that explains their process for new employees. Key points like identifying stock variants, product storage and organization, first in first out picking, packing techniques, and dispatch were required for us to simplify and communicate. In addition, PPPL wanted video footage of their infrastructure and process flow to visually enhance communication.

Challenge:

Because of the large SKU, PPPL noticed their employees were struggling to follow the SOP. MED-bites was requested to explain the SOP in a simpler manner using analogies that were relatable, so that employees could easily retain and execute it. In addition, since most employees spoke the regional language, Tamil, the video had to be made in two languages.

Solution:

MED-bites met with the operations team of Palepu Pharma, and understood the nuances of their process. Soon after, MED-bites visualized the SOP into an English script and storyboard. Once the script and storyboard were approved by the client, the text was translated to Tamil. A selection of voice artists was provided to the client, of which they selected two male baritone voices. Meanwhile, MED-bites illustrators created custom iconography following the client’s brand guidelines and a team of MED-bites videographers were sent to their facility to capture the appropriate visuals. Combining the custom icons and process videos with 2D animation, MED-bites delivered two SOP videos to the happy client.
