PPPL SOP Training Videos

Problem

For a pharmaceutical distribution company like Palepu Pharma Private Limited that handles over 21,000 active SKUs per day, it is vital to communicate the SOP to all employees. PPPL wanted MED-bites to create an SOP training video that explains their procedure to all new joinees. Key points, such as identifying stock variants, product storage and organisation, first in first out picking, packing techniques, and dispatch were required for us to simplify and communicate.

In addition, PPPL wanted video footage of their infrastructure and process flow to visually enhance the SOP training.

Challenge

Because of the high SKUs, PPPL noticed that their employees were struggling to follow the SOP. In addition, as most employees spoke Tamil, the video had to be made in two languages: English and Tamil.

Solution

MED-bites met with their Operations team, and understood the nuances of their process.

Our internal team brainstormed and came up with an idea to explain the SOP in a simple manner using analogies from daily life that were relatable so that employees could easily retain and execute it. Soon after, MED-bites visualised the SOP, wrote the script in English, and proceeded to storyboard the video as per the script.

After they approved the script and storyboard, we translated the script to Tamil. A selection of voice-over artists was provided to the client, of which they selected two male voices with a deep baritone.

Meanwhile, MED-bites’ illustrators created custom iconography following their brand guidelines and a team of MED-bites videographers were sent to their facility to capture appropriate SOP-related shots & visuals.

Combining the custom icons and process videos with 2D animation, MED-bites delivered both the SOP videos within 7 days.

Takeaways

We can simplify any SOP in the healthcare domain and communicate it in multiple languages with easy-to-follow analogies and effective visual storytelling.
